But first a disclaimer,
please remember that you are dealing with a large company located in a
large town so you may have trouble with not receiving what you ordered.
This is not to say that I've personally had any dealings with every
dealer below.
Here are some suggestions for
ordering over the phone from large companies. Record who answered the
phone and took your order, any promises that you were made, and when
you would receive the item. Then pray that your trust will not be
misused. Personally I use the companies as a means of comparing prices,
examining the specs of the equipment I'm wanting information on, then
when I've decided what I want I go to a camera store in a nearby large
town and pay a little more. The local dealers have to live with their
sales record and reputation so they are slightly more circumspect in
their dealings. There is a saying, "Caveat Emptor", Buyer Beware!
If you use a credit card, you will
have someone that can help you with problem companies. Of course, there
are problems with credit card companies so again be careful! TThese
